The Astonishing Adventures of Kitty and Peg

By Trott and Jennings

A hilarious two-hander, set backstage, at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, in 1745, about stars of the time, Kitty Clive and Peg Woffington.

When Kitty and Peg are unexpectedly sacked, English Kitty, famous for her voice (the first person to sing Rule Britannia), and Irish Peg, (famous for her trouser wearing, and sexy legs), have to find more to trade on than their talents to stay in the limelight. This leads them to spreading fake news, staging a fight, and accidentally poisoning the famous cross-dressing puppeteer turned butcher, Charlotte ‘Mr Brown’ Charke.

Will they get their jobs back? Will they be sent to the gallows, or will the public's love of True Crime save them?

A FAST-PACED, IRREVERENT, AND CHEEKY PERIOD FARCE, AND THERE’S WOMEN WRESTLING!
