Idle Women is a musical play drawing on the lives of those women who worked on canal boats in World War Two. The Busy Lizzies Theatre Group has devised and written a fun, moving and informative piece of work which touches on the challenges, successes and joys of these women seeking adventure and a change from their lives away from “the cut”. This special touring edition tells the story of the women, alongside all the wonderful songs from the show.
