Since 2006, we have been creating original productions that reflect the lived experiences and cultural diversity of the people in the Black Country – their histories, memories, interests, hopes and aspirations. Our productions are rooted in the passionate belief that everyone has a unique and fascinating story to tell, and that those stories deserve to be heard.

Our productions are dependent on the fantastic volunteers and professional creative teams who are part of the process of gathering and shaping the stories – bringing their own perspectives and experiences to the projects. The majority of our performers, producers, theatre-makers and designers are rooted in the Black Country and we also train local volunteers to carry out oral history interviews that inform the research and development of our new work.
