A Poem by Think Write Fly

What’s In Store brought live theatre, music and poetry performances to independent shops and cafes on Bearwood Road, Smethwick in June and in Wednesbury Town Centre in September this year.

Performances included both existing work and new site-specific commissions inspired by local stories. Artists spent time in the shops, cafes and market places, collecting stories through their conversations with local shoppers, shopkeepers, and passers-by. Those stories were then used to inform their work.

The productions celebrated the independent businesses and the many stories at the heart of the local communities.
